September 11th, 2001 our lives changed forever when our
country was attacked. In an effort to protect you and
our country the USA Patriot Act was signed into law on
October 26, 2001.
To
help the government fight the funding of terrorism and
money laundering activities, this law requires all financial
institutions to obtain, verify and record information
that identifies each person who opens an account.
What
this means for you
When
you open an account, we will ask for your name, address,
date of birth and other information that will allow us
to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver’s
license and/or other identifying documents.
Protection
of our customer’s identity and confidentiality will
continue to be of utmost importance to Alliance Bank as
